Jai Hind Oil Mills Co. started as an edible oil trading and oilseed crushing company in 1948 and by 1963 went on to become a pioneering integrated edible oil company manufacturing various cooking mediums.
By 1963, as our expertise grew, the Company installed and commissioned an ultra modern composite edible oil refinery and a hydrogenated plant on a ten-acre land acquired at Bhandup (Mumbai). We ventured into manufacturing all kinds of vegetable refined oils and hydrogenated vegetable oils.
The initial composite manufacturing setup consisted of an extensive expeller unit for crushing various kinds of edible oil seeds such as coconut, soya bean, groundnut, cotton seed etc. Over the years as demands and markets grew, the Company added to its manufacturing base various other products.
In the recent years due to various economic and inherent reasons, the manufacturing facility has been converted into a multifaceted and professionally managed warehousing complex for solid and liquid bulk cargoes. Our clients under this facility include Hindustan Lever, Gulf Oil, Godrej Oils, Reliance Industries, Coca Cola, LG, Sony Electronics, Blue Dart, etc. This has enabled us in translating our core strengths to manage the Company through its transition phase of moving towards a more economically viable edible oil setup in a more amenable environment suited to today’s needs and technology.
Jai Hind Oil Mills Co. with its inherent strengths that include a deep understanding of the edible oil industry, handling of bulk liquid cargo, country wide sales channels, technical expertise in producing the best of refined oils and bakery fats, raw material procurement and trading skills, and the endeavour to deliver stringent quality standards to meet multifarious customer needs has enabled the Company to emerge as a highly respected organization.
